Political activism is commonplace and there is no shortage of causes for those interested in taking one up. Many of the causes are dressed up with humanitarian terms which often hide the true intentions of the organisers, such as “anti-racist” groups which preach hate. A few commentators had the courage to ask questions of people attending demonstrations, and one thing stood out: many of the most outspoken people knew almost nothing about the cause that they were demonstrating about, and were definitely ignorant of the facts, only believing the lies that they had been told. This is at least partly the result of our modern Western education system which does not teach history, values or critical thinking. This facilitates the spread of lies on social media. The result is the mess, division and hatred that is pervasive in our society.
