Governments in Australia are misleading the public by quoting total diagnosed cases of Corona virus from the beginning of the pandemic as the current number of cases, trying to give the impression that the situation is out of control and using it as an excuse for ever more restrictive rules which are becoming farcical. From a pandemic management point of view only currently active cases matter, as people who have either recovered or died are no longer a risk for spread of infection.
