The assassination of Soleimani, Iran’s number two man, has brought out the “peace camp” activists. They seem unaware that the war that they want to prevent has been ongoing for many years. It was started by Iran, and with the West’s appeasement, has allowed the country to take over Iraq, Lebanon, part of Syria, Yemen and Gaza, develop a missile program and be well on the way to acquiring nuclear weapons, with the aim of destroying Israel. Soleimani was the architect of this. He is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people, including hundreds of Americans. It is incredible that people are protesting the end of this man’s life. It is even more worrying that some of these rallies are turning into antisemitic hate-fests. People should remember that had the “peace camp” not had its way in the 1930s, and Germany was stopped earlier, millions of lives would have been saved. It is a simple fact that terrorists cannot be appeased.
